Practise interviews withan AI coach listening
CareerCue listens to your mock interview or practice session, works out what you have just been asked, and puts a clear, specific answer on your screen — so you can compare it with your own, find the gaps, and rehearse until the answer is yours.

Preparation fails in ways that reading notes does not fix
You can know the material and still lose the moment. CareerCue Interview AI Assistant is built for the moment, not the revision.
You rehearse answers in your head, where they always sound fine.
Practise out loud against a real question and compare what you said with a structured answer, line by line.
Long, multi-part scenario questions fall apart halfway through.
It waits for the whole question before answering, so you can see how the complete answer should have been built.
A follow-up asks “why?” and you contradict what you claimed two minutes ago.
It remembers the whole session, so you can review where your story drifted and tighten it.
You freeze on coding problems you could solve with no clock running.
Point it at a practice problem on your screen and work through the approach until the pattern is automatic.
What the Interview AI Assistant does
Everything below is in the app today.
Hears your practice session as it happens
CareerCue listens to the meeting audio and your own microphone as two separate streams, so it always knows who said what without guesswork.
Spots the question for you
It works out when the interviewer has actually asked something, and waits for a multi-part scenario question to finish before answering rather than replying to half of it.
Writes the model answer while it is fresh
Answers stream in as they are generated and are written as a few short lines, one idea per line, so you can take them in at a glance and speak from them.
Follows the conversation
Ask "what are their advantages?" and CareerCue knows what "their" refers to. Return to a subject several questions later and it finds that earlier discussion again.
Keeps its place if something goes wrong
If the app restarts in the middle of an interview, the conversation so far comes back with it. The saved copy is encrypted and is deleted when the interview ends.
Reads the problem on your screen
Point it at a shared screen or window and it extracts the coding task, error or question it can see, then explains, debugs, fixes or completes the code.
A chat tab for anything typed
Paste a question, attach a screenshot or a text file, and get a full written answer with proper code blocks — separate from the live session so neither interrupts the other.
A movable answer overlay
Answers can sit in a floating overlay above your meeting window. Drag it, resize it, scroll it, and let clicks pass straight through to whatever is behind.
Understands accents and code-switching
Transcription handles interviewers who switch between languages mid-sentence, such as Urdu grammar around English technical terms. Answers always come back in English.
Excluded from screen capture
On a paid plan the CareerCue window is excluded from screen capture at the operating-system level, so it is not included when you share your screen or record it.
What CareerCue is for
CareerCue is built for interview practice — rehearsing out loud, mock interviews with a friend or a coach, working through coding problems, and reviewing afterwards where your answers drifted or ran long.

Installing on Apple Silicon (arm64) Mac
You will be downloading CareerCue-0.2.0-arm64.dmg
- 1Download macOS — Apple Silicon using the button above. Your browser saves it to your Downloads folder.
- 2Double-click the .dmg file. A window opens showing the CareerCue app.
- 3Drag CareerCue onto the Applications folder shown beside it.
- 4Eject the disk image, then open Applications and double-click CareerCue.
- 5The first time, macOS shows a caution instead of opening the app. The next section clears it — you only do it once.
macOS says CareerCue can’t be opened?
This is expected. CareerCue is signed but has not yet been through Apple’s notarisation service, so macOS asks you to confirm it once. Here is how to allow it — you will not be asked again.
- 1Try to open CareerCue once, then click Done or Cancel on the message. This step matters: the option below only appears after macOS has blocked it.
- 2Open System Settings from the Apple menu.
- 3Go to Privacy & Security in the sidebar.
- 4Scroll down to the Security section near the bottom.
- 5You will see a line saying “CareerCue was blocked to protect your Mac” or similar.
- 6Click Open Anyway.
- 7Confirm by clicking Open in the dialog that appears.
- 8Authenticate with Touch ID or your Mac password if macOS asks.
- 9Launch CareerCue again — it now opens normally, every time.
The exact wording and location vary by macOS version. On macOS 12 Monterey and earlier it is System Preferences → Security & Privacy on the General tab, and the Open Anyway button only stays visible for a short while after you tried to open the app — so do step 1 first, then go straight there. Please do not turn off Gatekeeper or run commands that disable macOS security to work around this; allowing the one app is all that is needed.
After installing — getting started
- 1Open CareerCue and sign in to your account.
- 2Open Settings and paste your OpenAI API key. CareerCue runs on your own OpenAI account, so usage is billed to you directly.
- 3Grant the microphone permission when asked, and on macOS also allow Screen & System Audio Recording in System Settings — that is how CareerCue hears the interviewer.
- 4Add your background and the job description in Settings so answers are specific to you rather than generic.
- 5Start your interview call, then press Start Listening.
